In Downtown Kansas City on Tuesday the latest group of basketball players that were going to be inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame was announced, and the leader of this year’s class is none other than John “Hondo” Havlicek. This accomplishment comes as no surprise and shows one of the characteristics of Hondo, where he plays for teams where he may not be the primary star player but always finds a way to contribute to the overall goal of winning. He was an integral part of the 1960 Ohio State team with Jerry Lucas that were NCAA Champions and was named to the All-American Team twice.
The induction ceremony will take place on November 20 and with this induction he joins a small list of players that have been inducted into both the College Basketball Hall of Fame and the NBA Hall of Fame.
